Impact Finance Belgium (IFB) is an independent and not-for-profit organization.
Our goal is to mobilize more impact-driven investment, capital and funding to seed and accelerate solutions addressing the needs of people and planet.
We raise awareness and build capacity with investors, capital providers and funders on their impact journey.
We create transparency, initiate applied research and facilitate access to knowledge, experience and the broad impact finance space overall. We explore novel (financial) instruments along the spectrum that can boost the impact space.
We work with Belgian policy makers, such as public actors and regulatory bodies through advocacy. And when useful, we can and should partner with other countries in the wider European context.
We believe in co-operation. As a trusted convener and partner to financiers across the spectrum of capital, we highly value to work together with all actors and stakeholders in the impact eco-system, such as adjacent networks, (networks of) social purpose organizations and inclusive businesses, academics, service providers, and governments.
IFB has the ambition to become the central entity, by creating transparency, facilitating access to knowledge, focusing on research and advocacy and engaging with big institutional players
The Impact week will take place in end-November and IFB wants to leverage the momentum to officially kick-start the Institute and start shaping the future of the Belgian market
Multiple National Advisory Boards (NABs) have been founded in countries and published market sizing studies that could be leveraged to help IFB in this effort.
